I think that what they intended was that mereko was the last person that talked to takuto, and the first person that talked to takuto before and after he lost his memories, and also she introduced herself to him as mereko, so maybe that's why takuto remembered, or looked shocked and all. hope that helped! :) posted at 30 Aug 2010 - 10:16

I did not get the ending of the anime, the ones I watch on youtube.
